Young international (theatre) artists working together in Belgrade .
 
From 16-20 September you will find them taking over the streets of Belgrade. A group of 25 young national and international (theatre) artist join forces for a week of performance research inspired by this exciting city. They collaborate to investigate and claim their place in the European (theatre) landscape now. Asking themselves and their audiences the truly difficult questions: What does it mean to be a young artist today? And how do you relate your performance art to the city and the people?
 
Artist In Public is hosted by Stichting Nieuwe Helden (New Heroes) in collaboration with INSTED. Stichting Nieuwe Helden will travel through Eastern Europe this summer, touring with their improvisation based performance titled Roll With It and band LnSaint. On their journey of theatrical research they will collaborate with local artists, inviting them into their show as they go along. They end their tour with 5 days in Belgrade and invite local and international artists to join them during their last days for a practical performance research week in an international city.
